Garden Tour

A private guided tour can help make your group visit to Penshurst Place & Gardens a truly memorable one. Our Head Guide is a highly experienced Blue Badge guide and trains our other knowledgeable guides. The Garden tour option provides you with a guided tour of the Gardens with non-guided entrance to the House. Guided tours of the Garden are available to book during normal opening hours or before the grounds are open to the public. The tour takes approximately an hour. We also offer this tour in foreign languages.

Head Gardener's Tour

Take a tour of the grounds of Penshurst Place with our Head Gardener and learn more about the work that goes on in the Gardens, including the beautiful fauna and flora that can be seen. A guided tour of the Gardens from our Head Gardener also allows non-guided entrance to the House for groups. Guided tours of the Garden are available to book during normal opening hours or before the grounds are open to the public. The tour takes approximately an hour.

Cream Tea & Tour

Enjoy a quintessentially English experience with a Penshurst Place Garden tour and an afternoon cream tea, served in the elegant surroundings of the Garden Restaurant with its views of the South Lawn from the outside terrace. The Garden tour option provides you with a guided tour of the Gardens with non-guided entrance to the House. Guided tours of the Garden are available to book during normal opening hours or before the grounds are open to the public. The tour takes approximately an hour. We also offer this tour in foreign languages.

Gardens Free-Flow

Book a free-flow visit to the Gardens that majestically surround the House and stroll amongst the one mile of yew hedging that divides the Gardens into a series of ‘rooms’, each with its own season and colour. Wander further afield and visit the Arboretum, Trout Lakes, Lake Park and Lancup Well; at around 50 acres, they make Penshurst Place and Gardens one of Britain’s most alluring spectacles for groups throughout the year.
