School Visits

With a history spanning nearly 700 years, Penshurst Place can provide a valuable resource to explore history through the ages. To ensure that you have a productive day out of the classroom, there are also plenty of opportunities for cross-curricular work, all in one place, including aspects of Learning for Life, Geography, Science and PE. For overseas and foreign language students wanting to learn more about British history and culture, Penshurst Place is also a valuable historical and cultural resource.

Tudor History Week

Please note that Elizabeth I & the Armada is no longer part of our educational programme and we hope to offer a new package in the near future.

We're sorry to say that, following the events of the last few years, we have made the difficult decision to remove ‘Elizabeth I and the Armada’ from our yearly calendar. We will be reviewing our education programming and hope to offer a new package to meet the needs of the National Curriculum and of schools in general.

We are extremely sorry for any disappointment this decision may cause, but feel the time is right to pursue other avenues in order to improve the visitor experience from both an educational and a child-friendly viewpoint.

Please watch this space for details of a new, exciting educational programme in the near future!
