The Buttery

Once the bottle storeroom of the medieval household, the Buttery is adjacent to Baron’s Hall. Its sandstone walls, hung with rich 17th century tapestries, create a warm and cosy atmosphere, enhanced by an open log fire in winter.

 

 

The Baron's Hall

For larger conferences and presentations the unique 14th century Baron's Hall can provide a stunning conference gala event venue. The room can be laid out cabaret style or theatre style and for dining.

Capacity for dining on round tables: 136

Capacity for standing reception: 250

We also have our restaurant area, adjacent to the house and close to the banqueting rooms. This can provide the perfect break-out or lunchtime space during the winter.

Capacity for seated dining up to 120.

There is also the new Pantry at the main Visitor Entrance that provides a more contemporary space - seating inside for 40 or can be used for a standing reception.
