Cleaning the Armour demonstrations

We are delighted NADFAS are visiting us
to clean the armour in the state rooms, on alternate Wednesdays and Thursdays this autumn.

They will be doing their work on display to visitors in the Crypt from 12 noon - 3pm with a break for lunch.

Please note the Crypt is accessed via the Baron's Hall and down a few small steps.

You are welcome to watch and ask questions.

See our What's On guide for the dates in October.

A Coronation Exhibition

Memorabilia from Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, that Viscount De L’Isle has made available from his private family archives, will be on display in the house.

Included amongst the exhibits an original, hard-bound leather Form and Order of Service from the coronation service held at Westminster Abbey, attended by the former Lord and Lady De L’Isle on 2 June 1953.

Available to view in the Family Photographic exhibition, from Saturday 2 June 2012 daily 12 noon – 4pm, for the rest of the season; free to visit for house or garden ticket holders.
