Book Your Visit

The Gardens at Penshurst Place are now open for pre-booked visits through our online ticketing service!

Same-Day tickets are not currently available, but you can book from as little as one day in advance.

Please click here once you have read the below information to be redirected to our booking site

To open, we have made changes to our booking process and the gardens themselves to ensure we remain compliant with social distancing measures. Please read the below carefully before continuing to book your tickets.

UPDATE: Please be aware that as of Monday 14th September, Government guidelines meeting in groups of more than 6 will change.

To help us with these new changes, we must ask that as of 14th September you do not book tickets for groups larger than 6, nor meet up at Penshurst Place or the Porcupine Pantry Cafe in groups larger than 6 unless you are visiting as a household or support bubble which is larger than 6.

Thank you.

Booking

As a temporary short term solution to manage visitor numbers and keep them at a safe level, we will be moving to an online only pre-booking system.  We will not be offering tickets for sale at the Visitor Entrance. This new system will be linked from our website homepage and you will be able to book a visit a maximum of one month in advance

As we monitor the ongoing risk of Covid-19, we may reintroduce a limited number of “on-the-door” ticket sales later on in the season, but this is largely dependent on the Government’s traffic light system for risk monitoring.

  • You will be able to book a minimum of one day in advance. We are currently unable to offer same-day tickets through the booking portal. the cut off for purchasing tickets for the following day is 11.59pm.
  • Ticket numbers will sold in either morning or afternoon timeslots of 10am - 1.30pm or 1.30pm - 5pm, last entry at 4.30pm.
  • Each timeslot will be capped to manage visitor numbers, so you may need to check the booking page frequently to find a suitable time and date that is available.
  • All visitor events, unless otherwise specified, are now cancelled in adherence with social distancing guidelines.
  • All Ticket bookings are final. In some circumstances tickets can be transferred to a different day should there still be availability on that day. Please call us on 01892 870307 or email contactus@penshurstplace.com if you wold like to transfer your tickets. Refunds will not be given.

If your booking is for an afternoon slot, please be aware that last entry is strictly 4.30pm.

The Adventure Playground and Woodland Trail

What we have done to help keep the Playground safe:

  • Added hand sanitiser stations around the playground and leading to the Woodland Trail
  • Latched the Woodland Trail gate open so all you need to do is push the gate with your elbow. There is no need to handle the latch
  • Made the Commando Trail one way
  • Made picnic tables available and well-spaced out for your safety
  • Increased our cleaning regime of the Playground equipment
  • Closed off some of the more enclosed areas of Playground Equipment

What you can do to help us:

  • Please ensure that you and your family/ group remain socially distanced from other groups at all times
  • Please ensure the children in your care make use of the hand sanitiser provided before and after using the Playground equipment
  • Please be aware that the Adventure Playground carries a larger element of risk due to the numerous potential contact areas. As such it is your responsibility to assess which parts of the playground you are comfortable for your family/ group to use
