With a history spanning nearly 700 years, Penshurst Place can provide a valuable resource to explore history through the ages. To ensure that you have a productive day out of the classroom, there are also plenty of opportunities for cross-curricular work, all in one place, including aspects of Learning for Life, Geography, Science and PE. For overseas and foreign language students wanting to learn more about British history and culture, Penshurst Place is also a valuable historical and cultural resource.

We would like to invite you to our first ever Teachers’ Open Evening at Penshurst Place on Tuesday 13th October.
Pop in for a chat with our Learning Team, visit the gardens or explore the house if time allows and see our reimagined Toy Museum.
Enjoy tea/coffee and cake in the Garden Room and find out more about our curriculum-led Education Programme.

Order of Events:
3pm - 4pm | Register and wander the Gardens, House and Toy Museum at your leisure.
Please note the Toy Museum will be open to 6pm, we suggest exploring the House first.
4.15pm | Tea/coffee and refreshments in the Garden Room
4.30pm | Introduction to our programme, followed by a chance to talk to our learning team and see how we can accommodate your learning objectives.
The team will be available until 6pm so feel free to pop in when you can or make an appointment to come and see our facilities at a later date.

KS3/KS4 English and Drama Workshop
Explore the world of theatre and literature at Penshurst Place through a catered workshop designed specifically for KS3/KS4 English and Drama students.
The Gardens & Grounds of Penshurst Place provide a perfect place to study the Natural Sciences with a wide variety of plants including an ancient ginkgo biloba tree, orchards and signs of much biodiversity. Tours are available, with outdoors learning facilities including the Woodland Trail.
