Penshurst Place has a small Estate Office management team, and employs seasonal and part time staff for most business areas including visitor events, catering, banqueting & events, visitor services and retail.

Job title:             Retail Manager

Reporting to:    General Manager

Salary:                Dependent on experience

Hours:                40 hours, on a 5 days out of 7 basis, including weekend working

 

Job Summary:

Penshurst Place is one of the oldest family owned estates in the country, set in 2,500 acres of rural Kent countryside. It is a family home, and also a top visitor attraction, wedding and events venue, and working country estate. The gift shop sits outside the pay perimeter and is open all year, selling a wide range of souvenirs, homeware, gifts, games, cards and books. The Retail Manager is responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of the shop, reporting directly to the Estate General Manager.
