Hospitality Assistant
We are currently looking for a Hospitality Assistant to work predominantly in our Porcupine Pantry café. This role will be 5 days out of 7 as part of a rota including some weekend working.
This busy café has a large local following and serves as the main catering outlet for the thousands of visitors to the attraction throughout the year. You will be serving a range of locally made cakes, tea, coffee, scones and snacks, as well as a lunch menu which changes seasonally. As part of your shift you will be provided with a free lunch from our menu, as well as hot drinks.
Experience:
- 2 years in a catering/hospitality environment (preferred)
- 1 year in a catering/hospitality environment (essential)
- 1 year barista trained (preferred)
Work remotely: No
Key Responsibilities:
- Working on tills, taking customer orders
- Making hot beverages (on-the-job training provided)
- Serving a selection of snacks and lunches
- Restocking fridges and shelving
- Clearing tables
- Adhering to food and safety laws and policies
- Health and safety compliance
- Cleaning duties around the café and seating areas
- Possible cashing up/locking up required (18+ workers only)
Ideal candidate:
- Polite and friendly
- Happy to work as part of a team
- Basic food and safety knowledge (level 1 or 2 food safety and hygiene certificate preferred)
- Previous catering experience
- Happy to attend training as necessary.

Part Time Hospitality Assistant
