Whether a morning or evening drinks reception, Penshurst Place is without a doubt one of the most atmospheric and historic venues. Guests can mingle, enjoying drinks and canapés, in the unparalleled surroundings of the Inner Courtyard, Buttery or Baron’s Hall, often with the fires and candelbras lit.
Penshurst Place offers a number of different areas to host many types of networking events including breakfast and lunch meetings. For smaller events we have the Buttery which can hold up to 50 people. The Sunderland Room is a lovely part-panelled, part-sandstone walled room, with mullioned windows, a fireplace and views across to the Gardens. Maximum seating is 120. The Baron’s Hall is our largest banqueting room and is a magnificent piece of medieval architecture. It can accommodate up to 200 and in the winter months a fire can be placed in the middle to add to the atmosphere of the room.
If you are wishing to organise an event with a charitable or not for profit purpose, then Penshurst Place is able to offer a personally tailored package to suit your individual requirements. If you have any ideas for raising money for charity there are so many opportunities to make use of these versatile historic rooms. A charity lunch, classical concert and recital are a few of the events hosted to date in our Baron’s Hall and Sunderland Room. We can also add a House and/or Garden tour to the event if you wish.
