Autumn Amble Guided Parkland Walking Tour & Lunch

19th Oct

Ticketed Event | 19th October, 10.30am | £47.00 per person | Tickets include the guided walking tour, a two course lunch in our private banqueting room and entrance to Penshurst Place and Gardens after your meal

With a rich history dating to the 14th century, Penshurst Place is one of the oldest family-owned country estates in England. This October we invite you to join us for a guided tour of the Penshurst Place Estate in its Autumn splendour, followed by a delicious two-course lunch in our private banqueting room. Your tickets also include access to the formal gardens and historic house at Penshurst Place, which we would encourage you to explore after your meal.

Your guided all-terrain walk will be led by General Manager of the Penshurst Place Estate, Ben Thomas, who will describe the history of agriculture and farming that has helped the Penshurst Place Estate remain a thriving enterprise. You'll also learn more about the wildlife that make their home on the estate, the work we do to care for it, and how we are protecting this ancient estate for future generations.

After your walk, retire to the private Sunderland Room which is never open to the public, and enjoy a two-course lunch surrounded by portraiture and the sounds of our crackling fire. The perfect way to enjoy an Autumn day out.

Tickets Available from 15th July

The Last N.O.E. L Mini Panto!

20th Oct - 23rd Dec

Ticketed Event | Various dates throughout December | Tickets include access to the Panto only, House, Gardens and Grounds will be closed

Tickets available to book from Monday 1st September

Naughty Old Elves Limited [N.O.E.L]  have infiltrated the North Pole (cue shocked gasps, please!).

With a dastardly plan to take over the workshop, N.O.E.L have got their eye on the toy-making procedures and want to put a stop to the workshop's manufacturing to ruin Christmas!

Using their hypnotic powers to cause havoc and stop the toy making in its tracks, Mother Christmas is now under their power, whilst Neville the Elf has been convinced that Rapping rather than Wrapping is the best career move for him....

Father Christmas needs your help to take back the workshop, free Mother Christmas and Neville the Elf  from N.O.E.L's hypnotic spell, and ensure Christmas and its magic, are saved!

Our Mini Panto is the perfect great value alternative for families looking for a shorter Christmas show, without compromising on the festive magic! Lasting approximately 25 - 30 minutes, our Mini Panto packs classical panto hijinks, gasps and awe into a show presented in the beautifully transformed medieval Baron's Hall. After the show, enjoy the opportunity to have your photo taken with Father Christmas and a chocolate treat to take home.

Various dates and times to choose from throughout December, including dedicated quiet sessions for SEN children, their families and carers.

The Last N.O.E.L Mini Panto: Quiet Sessions

Our Quiet Sessions: What's Different?

We are hosting three sessions this year designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities, such as ASD or sensory processing disorders, to enjoy our Christmas panto in a more relaxed environment.

If you have attended our panto before, you will likely be aware that we have always left space at the back of the hall for children who might need to move around, or simply prefer a little more space, and upon feedback from our guests we would like to expand on this to help more of our guests enjoy a festive celebration with us. Here are some of the changes we have made for these quiet sessions:

1. The music which forms a part of the show, and which is played as children come into the Hall will be kept significantly quieter. The interactive elements of the show which involve singing and dancing will still be included to help provide a multi-sensory experience.

2. Our elf, where possible, will be signing the show for any children who understand BSL.

3. We have allocated more time at the end of the show for children to meet Father Christmas and have a photo with him. We understand some children may be very chatty and others may want to leave the show as soon as it's over. If children are uncomfortable with speaking to Father Christmas but would still like their Christmas wishes passed on, Mother Christmas and her elf will come to them instead.

4. Capacity for these shows have been decreased from 80 tickets, to 50 tickets.
